Home care: what to use and how often
The right home care = maximum results.
- After in-clinic treatments the skin is especially receptive: support it at home with a moisturiser, a hyaluronic acid serum and SPF — in autumn too. 70% of the result depends on home care.
- Moisturiser: like brushing your teeth, morning and night. Vitamin C (antioxidant): every morning, always with SPF on top. Hyaluronic acid: once a day.
- Retinol: at night; best to start twice a week. Salicylic acid: twice a week as prevention. In the sunny season, a day cream with retinol can wait until autumn.
- Peptide serum: once a day, preferably at night. Collagen mask: once a week, depending on your skin type.
- A morning routine, step by step: cleanser; toner (for daytime, any one without acids); vitamin C; eye cream; SPF 50; then your makeup.
- Common mistakes: using too many products at once (“the skin suffocates and can react with irritation”), exfoliating too often (it damages the protective barrier) and using the same cream all year: in summer, light formulas and sun protection; in winter, hydration and repair.
